DICE is the community’s source for independent product and technology testing and evaluation. DICE offers the “tested evidence” necessary to support decisions by the entire community. Using the DICE test and evaluation process and environment, products and technologies are independently and thoroughly evaluated using a test environment that mirrors real life. Testing a wide range of attributes, DICE is the only test and evaluation environment of its kind and has become the third-party source for evaluating and validating IT and HPC solutions and technologies.

Assessment of Technology Investment Alternatives

Interested in purchasing a new technology solution?

The DICE team offers a service to provide a comprehensive assessment of a new technology prior to investment, followed up with a thorough review of alternatives. For many companies, technology integration, product functionality and configuration are unknowns prior to purchasing a product. The ability to validate alternatives before acquiring can be used to support a favorable business decision.

A service request may include one or all of the following test scenarios:

Requirements Definition – The DICE team will work closely with the customer to define technology specific requirements. The requirements can be used for a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Information (RFI).
Technology Solution Research & Identification – A product can be evaluated against company requirements within the DICE test bed. Testing results, deficiencies and possible work-around will be documented.
Alternative Test, Evaluation & Validation – Multiple technology solutions can be evaluated against company requirements within the test bed. A weighted evaluation matrix will be developed containing the testing results.
